README

A bit about me

My passion is building inclusive software and systems that people love using. This has taken me from modding video games to 8 years of professional full-stack development and design work. Currently, I manage 7 sites I built for a marketing agency and 6 for freelance clients. I’m drawn to mission-driven work that makes me feel nourished, educated, and inspired.

After growing up on Yap, Micronesia, I relocated to Greenville, SC in 2017 where I still live. Since then, I’ve launched everything from e-commerce shops to content libraries, custom tooling, and even the occasional browser game. I’m a big music fan and enjoy listening to podcasts and reading books about my favorite artists.

And if you need them, here’s my photo and resume.

Values

My values are the filter for what I take on and how I approach it, especially when there isn’t much in the way of precedent.

How I like to work

My goal is for users to love the experience and the team to love operating the product on the back‑end.

  1. Full cycle. I enjoy design, development, and deployment from discovery through launch and prefer owning my piece end-to-end.
  2. Async-first. I do my best work in async environments without relying on meetings to stay focused.
  3. Batch tasks. I’m a terrible multi-tasker so I try to do related tasks at the same time.
  4. Document. I write clear docs, comments, and specs so the team can run and evolve things on their own.
  5. Automate. I put CI/CD, webhooks, and scripted workflows in place so the team spends less time on manual, repeatable work.
  6. Invite input. I give the team ways to make the product feel like theirs and speed up feedback cycles by adding internal design-tweaking UIs.
  7. Remain consistent. Too many overtime hours in deep focus leave me less effective afterwards, so I try to find time for relaxing hobbies outside of work.
